Facilitating Growth provides assessment, intervention, education and consultation for children and adults who present with the following communication difficulties; 

• Articulation Disorders
• Phonological Disorders
• Expressive/Receptive Language Challenges
• Apraxia of Speech

• Language Learning Difficulties associated with;
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Sensory Integration Disorders
• Social-Pragmatic Difficulties
• Feeding/Swallowing Difficulties
• Dysarthria
• Oral-Motor Disorders
• Voice Disorders
• Fluency (stuttering)
• Aphasia
• Cognitive-Communication Difficulties

Evaluation, education and treatment sessions will be provided at the office, 10 North Main Street. Home Services will be available and provided on an as needed basis.

Comprehensive Speech and Language Evaluation
An initial assessment is required for new clients unless a recent evaluation was performed. An evaluation consists of a combination of informal and standardized assessment (standard battery of 5 tests) dependent on the individual’s needs, a review of past history and present status and family education. A comprehensive written report with findings and recommendations will be provided. Estimated time is 2-2.5 hours
(2 visits).

Evaluation/Consultation
An evaluation/consultation service is provided for new clients who were previously evaluated and require additional testing or need a more brief evaluation. This consultation consists of review of previous assessments/therapy, additional formal and/or informal assessment dependant on the individual’s needs and family education. A written report with findings and recommendations will be provided. Estimated time is 1.5 hours (1 visit).

Individual Speech/Language Therapy
Individual therapy is provided following a complete assessment. An individualized treatment plan with specific measurable goals is created based on the individual’s strengths and weaknesses and can be updated according to progress.  Parent or family discussion and a home exercise program is typically provided after each session. Estimated time is 1 hour in length. 

Group Speech/Language Therapy
Group therapy is provided for individuals who have common areas of concern. Specific goals will be targeted weekly and a home exercise program will be provided after each session. Estimated time is 1.5 hours depending on group offered. The following groups are now being provided (call for more detailed information);

Family Education Workshop
The Family education workshop consists of discussion of specific areas of concern. Session will focus on; specific information on area of concern, helpful strategies/techniques, creating a successful home environment, and available resources in the community.  This personal family workshop is provided for one family. Estimated time is 1.5 hours.

On-Site Consultation
Consultative services are provided for individuals to assess the generalization of a particular skill into the home, school, or work environment. Informal measures of assessment will be performed and treatment strategies will be provided. Estimated time is 1.5 hours.

Attendance at PPT, 504 Meetings and other Educational Team Meetings
This service is provided only for individuals seen for treatment.  It includes a meeting with the family prior to the educational team meeting to review evaluations, recommendations, accommodations and discuss questions/concerns. Additional support will be provided during the team meeting. Time varies (hourly fee). 

Parent/Professional Workshops
Workshops of various topics are provided for parents and educators. Please check the event calendar for more detailed information and the specific time and location of workshops in the community. Space is limited.  Estimated time is 1 hour. Registration required.

Fees/ Payments: Facilitating Growth is not a participating provider with insurance companies. We are considered out-of-network with all insurance companies. All documentation (i.e. evaluation report, progress notes, receipt of service, insurance coding, etc.) will be provided to the family when requesting for insurance reimbursement. The service fee reimbursement is dependent upon an individual’s plan. It is the responsibility of the policy owner to understand the referral requirements and insurance benefits of their policy.

Facilitating Growth is a fee-for service practice, therefore full payment by cash or check is due at the time services are rendered.  Service fees are available to download; Fee Schedule

Referrals: Adults can self refer or parents can refer their child by contacting Lisa Langweil by phone or email. Many private health insurance plans require a doctor’s referral. It is the responsibility of the policy owner to understand the referral requirements of their insurance policy.  

Cancellation Policy: Consistent attendance to therapy appointments is important for progress. It is required that 24 hour notice be given prior to cancellation of any appointment. A $25 cancellation fee will be incurred if adequate notice is not provided. Continuation of therapy will be discussed if 3 consecutive cancellations are accrued.

Appointment Duration: Most therapy appointments are scheduled for 1 hour in length which consists of 45 minutes of direct treatment and 15 minutes of parent/family member discussion and preparation of home exercise programming. Travelling time to and from your home is not included in appointment duration.

Privacy Policy: The confidentiality of your evaluation and treatment is extremely important. Information will NOT be released to another individual via verbal/written means unless an Authorization to Obtain/Release Information form is completed.  This form expires after one year.
